Black Cats & Halloween

Here are some fun facts about black cats and Halloween! 

1) The connection between black cats and Halloween dates 2,000 years back in Druid circles. They were known to be evil spirits sacrificed into the fires on October 31st to the Lord of the Dead.

2) In the middle ages they were associated with witches! It was a common belief that witches could actually shift and disguise themselves into black cats. 

3) Like anything else that has a long history there are plenty of superstitions and myths such as...

A.  A black cat on an ill persons bed will bring death.

B. It is bad luck if you cross paths with a black cat.

C. If you turn your back on a black cat they will curse you.

Obviously black cats are no different from any other color cat and they make great loyal companions! If you're ever on the market to adopt, I highly suggest not overlooking these beautiful felines. In places such as the UK and Europe they are known to bring good luck and that's a "myth" I will stick with!
